I am, by no means, the type of person who has to rush out and buy the latest makeup. I usually wait around for reviews, and I take a lot of time considering it before making a purchase. I don’t really get swept up into the hype of new product releases, but the Lorac Mega Pro 4 palette got me excited.
When I first found out that Lorac was releasing the Mega Pro 4 palette, I was fucking thrilled, (seriously, if you could see my DMs on Instagram, you would see that I sent the post to all of my friends). I wanted to buy it right away, but it’s on the expensive side, so I decided to wait to see some reviews and really think about whether I would get use out of it or not.
Fast forward a few weeks later and I happened to be at Ulta at just the right time. I went in to pick up some skincare items and walked past the palette. I picked it up, wanting to buy it right away, but when I looked at the $59 price tag, I thought about it and decided that it wasn’t the right time. As I was putting it back, a small sign caught my eye. It said that the palette was 25% off, making it $44.29. I quickly grabbed the palette, I figured I might as well buy it while it’s on sale.
$45 is still a lot for a palette, but all the reviews I read about it were positive and I loved the Mega Pro 3 so much, (check out my review of the Mega Pro 3 here), I went for it, but I still had to test it out for myself.
The Lorac Mega Pro 4 palette is currently sold on the Lorac website, on the Ulta website, and at Ulta stores. It says it’s limited edition and I’m not sure how long it will be available for or if they will release it again if it sells out, so if you want to get your hands on it, I suggest doing so now!
The palette costs $59, just like the other 3 Mega Pro palettes and is packaged the same way, but can we just take a second to talk about the packaging with this palette? It’s this gorgeous pink color that, quite honestly, looks amazing on my vanity!
When you open the palette you’re met with 32 shades, 16 mattes and 16 shimmers. The colors are all pretty much cool-toned. They’re all very pretty and there are a few shades that are totally unique, shades I’ve never seen in other palettes before, which is exciting. It definitely has a great variety of neutrals, pastels, metallics, and bolder shades.

The eyeshadows in this palette are all pigmented, blend easy, and last all day. They apply smooth and evenly too. Every shade in this palette works the same, there aren’t any shades that out perform the others, which is something that is consistent with Lorac palettes, and something that makes them my favorite amongst other brands.
There is a little fall out with some of the shades when you put your brush in, and a little when applying it to your eyes. I personally don’t mind a little fall out, I prefer it over shadows that are too stiff and hard to work with, but if fall out is something that is a problem for you, keep that in mind.
My favorite thing about the shades in this palette is how unique they are from shadows I’ve seen in other palettes. There are mattes in shades I’ve never seen or used before, and the shimmers are absolutely beautiful. I’m actually obsessed with every single shade in the bottom row of this palette.
You can create so many different looks just from using the Lorac Mega Pro 4 palette. You can go neutral, bold, colorful; the possibilities are pretty much endless!
Now, although the packaging is gorgeous, it’s probably the only thing I hate about this palette. It just gets messy way too fast! Which is the same problem I had with the Mega Pro 3. Other than that though, this palette really delivers!
Overall, I’m very impressed with the Lorac Mega Pro 4 palette. It’s definitely not cheap, but when you consider how much product you get, the diversity of the shades, and the quality of the shadows, I would say it’s worth the price.
I honestly can’t wait to play around with this palette some more and create some fun looks!
If you’re looking for a new palette with lots of gorgeous, unique shades to try out then I highly recommend trying out the Lorac Mega Pro 4.
